As It Is! Contemporary Art From Africa and The Diaspora, will illustrate beautifully a vision of Africa, void of the commonly perpetuated ideologies and will capture the greatness and zeal of an African aesthetic valid and invigorating and at the forefront of- the new world order.

Simultaneously, this series of exhibitions will demonstrate a continuous journey of discovery, interaction, exchange and collaboration between the UAE and the African continent and Diaspora. Poignantly, 2010 marks a significant milestone as 17 African nations celebrate 50 years of independence. As It Is! is proud to be taking place at such a monumental time in world history.
